Default Clutchmasters stage 4 or any stage 4 issues?

Ok I got my stage 4 clutchmaster installed, after the install I started experiencing more shaking and chattering on the motor on the and usually upon moving from a stop, I expected some jerking to be normal but that jerking comes with banging/rattle like the motor is gonna jump out.. feels and sounds like a loose motor, have it checked with the installer and everything is tight. The mechanic's response is that stronger clamping force is causing those, extra shaking and jerking I know is normal but should the vibration brought by the clutch be that bad to make the motor create some rattle (like two metal rubbing) and clunking sound?

I just want to get some response for those with stage 4 clutchmasters clutch or any other stage 4 or 5 have same issues.. but other than that, it shifts and accelerates fine.. the pedal is even that different from stock

My throws between gears seem kind of long with the stage 4. But yea it shakes as you are talking about but I thinhk it is to be expected with the clutch wanted to engage with more force.

The only other odd noise from mine came from the throw bearing, I think cuz it was not lubed enough. Other than that it seems fine and will be getting a turbo work out soon enough.

you hear that extra sound while cranking like a two metal rubbing? or motor/tranny rubbing with something? I've had some shaking on the car before but nothing like metal rubbing with each other.. so this is normal?

I dunno eaxcatly the soudn you have but mine definitely has that "loose motor" feel sometimes. For instance reverse and starting in first gear. You really should try to just put it into gear rather then having the clutch released halfway. I know this is not a good idea but sometimes when parallel parking you can't put it all the way into gear and this is when I notice it the worst.

I think you clutch is normal and that you just have to get used to it. You already had them check to see that everything is tight and that is really one of the main things that can go wrong after a clutch is installed.

i have clutchmasters stage 4 (FX400), fidanza 9lbs flywheel, and quaife LSD --> and i dont hear any clunking noise or shaking of motor/tranny at all. the only noise that i get is a whining noise from the tranny when tranny is cold and i run the car right away. but i always wait for 2 minutes and then i drive off. i love the clutch it bites quick

i have a 6 puck disc, and yes 9lbs flywheels are light weight. you dont want a quaife lsd ?? might as well get it if youre installing flywheel and clutch, do it all at once, theyre worth it!

I have 6 puck and stock flywheel, what im concerned of is that they might have installed the clutch the other way like the flywheel side is on the pressure plate side or does it really matter

Oh I didn't know you were experiencing this, Ace.

I've heard before that this could be due to the throw-out bearing.. are you sure the installer used the new one from CM?

I'm not too sure - that would be a better question for CM or anyone else using a CM.

I was told that on my clutch, everything fit perfectly.. it's a Competition Clutch.

Im gonna check with CM with this one, i never heard of any issues from CM owners though.. But there was one with competition that had fitment issues with that bearing and I think they reused the oem, was that the guy from puerto rico or maybe not.. but that was long time ago and im sure competition has fixed that

it's normal man you're just fliping out, it grabs really hard for the first 500 miles then after that it gets bettter. the chattering you are hearing is the extra clamping force, remember, you ARE 250% over stock.

The mounts will help keep the motor from slamming around. If you don't dump the clutch in first gear I would think your gonna get hella lotta vibration taking off in first gear. So just slam on the gas and dump the clutch every time you launch .

It is normal to have a little more vibration from the clutch over stock. Did you get the sprung or unsprung? Did they resurface flywheel when clutch was replaced? If not that will cause more vibration. Is the noise or feel more like a chatter? The throw out bearing can not cause a vibration unless installed improperly and would be very noisy. The disc would only go in one way or the hub will drag on bolts
