Exactly why I have a FMIC on hold at ZPI to try and get some cool air. This Central Florida summer heat is a beast.

so if you dont run a FMIC does that make you run risk of over heating?

David, there is an import event saturday in Louisville at the local drag strip, you should hang around a day, borrow some slicks from the ZPI car and see what it can really do. I promise we won't bite.

A FMIC will not keep your turbo cooler, it will cool the air coming into your engine. By the time the mixture combusts, it's going to be the same temp on the other side of your motor.

A FMIC will block air to your radiator, you may have to upgrade to an aluminum unit if you have problems.

^^^ agreed with turbo2L.

2 fans on the front of the radiator may also save you some heat issues.

I wish I could stay down there, but I have to be back in cincy by 7:30 am on saturday morning. I am hopefully taking a week of vacation, that is when I plan to go down there and play. About the FM, thanks for the correction, but it is still cooling something, LOL, so I was half right. It is obvious I dont know everything about turboed cars, since this is my first one that I have owned. Thanks!

We actually made a little more power on a 6psi car with out a FMIC. these where not done on the same day but at the same dyno. The EvoIII 16g is a very efficient turbo and we are operating actually below its efficiency range a little. As you can see with just a little more boost the power jumps greatly showing we are operating more inside the optimal range of this turbo.

Thanks david for the kind words you have been a great customer.

hmmm...if so, i cant see the open downpipe creating more than maybe 10 whp give or take a few ponies? If that is the case, that's impressive for 10 lbs of boost.
