I have an HKS Hi-power also, and I recently replaced that stock(Crap) midpipe with a Megan Racing Mid-pipe.

Ohhh...its very nice now, a bit deeper, a bit throatier*(is this even a word?), and significantly LOUDER! According to the butt-dyno(results vary), there was a little bit of a power gain also.

Take a look at the Megan Midpipe, very, very nice craftsmanship, and the price isn't too bad either.

One 18" resonator should be plenty good. It'll cut down on rasp and anything annoying sounding. If anyone thinks differently, chime in.

isnt the megans midpipe with the resantor come with two resantors.....i know i have the drift spec it comes with one small resantor maybe 12 inch or so...

but to cut down on the noise gotta go custom either 18 or 30 inch if you really hate it

I had a custom put in at a shop.. The dude said the stock had two resantors so he installed new pipes and took one out and it sounds amazing! It was pretty cheap to.

hey dude no i dont have a header, it sounds great in SD but i want it in a lower tone, i might try the megan brand name haha....and the guy told me the same thing at the shop he might just place on two resonators like the megan and if i want it a tad lower a third one on the bent parts i dont kno, just thought some of you had magnaflow resonators on since its common

no reason to get 3 resonators. just get yourself a vibrant ultra quiet resonator, an aero25 or magnaflow 22" or bigger. by the way from what everyone tells me on here their magnaflow resonators burn out over a year or so and thats when your exhaust will sound loud and raspy. if you get yourself a decent resonator then you should be fine. i mean how quiet do you want your exhaust to be?
