does anybody have a fitment issue with megan s-pipe and stock midpipe?

 

Soo lemme just get this straight basically all you need is a resonator on your mid pipe and this will help the sound from the header?

 

Try looking into megan exhaust system. They have a s-pipe back exhaust system that includes a resantor. I think is the Megan OE style exhaust or something like that.

i got the dc axleback n megan mid pipe it sounds tyte .. i had a shop bend one of the hangers today cause the tip was sitting 2 low now it sits nicely

 

Keep your headers and s-pipe, get the megan mid-pipe and the HKS exhaust or Injen or whichever you want, but make sure you change out those parts. Once you do so, get two 18" resonators put onto the mid-pipe and you're golden! My car sounds sweet now... can't wait for the s/c....

 

I'm glad i'm not the only one that has this horrible sound. Mine is the weirdest sounding header i have ever heard. It actually sounds like something is falling off. Like metal vibrating up against more metal, or like my exhaust is dragging on the ground behind my car. I am SOOO embarassed to drive it. I actually put the stock header back on. Huge decrease in power, but who the hell cares, with a noise like that i would rather drive a civic

Oh, and i spent over 700 bucks to try to get rid of the noise and nothing worked!! Not sure what causes it, but there are people that have the same header as i have and sound somewhat reasonable. Maybe it's slightly defective or something

 

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY VIDEO CLIPS OR SOUND CLIPS OF WHAT THE DC SPORT HEADERS SOUND LIKE? WTF DOES RASP SOUND LIKE?

 

Just find a 1992-95 Honda Civic with a primer body kit, gigantic wing, and a sideways Folger's coffee can fart pipe revving the engine to 5000 rpm... that, my friend, is rasp.

Well here's one GREAT big way to solve your problem once and for all. Get rid of your headers, s-pipe, and whatever else you have. Get a ZPI Stage 1 Turbo, megan mid-pipe, and a high-flow exhaust (HKS or the new ZPI 3" full exhaust) and there you go, no rasp and all power. If there ARE rasp, then add on two 18" resonators and you're good to go!

 

Good idea, i'll do that over the weekend and tell you if it works!
