Default desperate for help

hey its been snowing hard as a %^& for the past hour here so i decided to leave my friend house and go home. on the way of course i slide 5mph or less sidways into a curb and the back right rim hit the curb. when i say 5mph i really do mean that slow it wasnt fast at all. when i kept going all seemed well and i went to look and make sure everything was fine and all was exept my wheel was locked up. i went back to my friends and we looked at it and saw when you go slow it moves normally for a second or two but locks up. and when you go in reverse it moves better but still locks up. when driving it will every once in a while spin a little then lock back. i dont know what could be the issue and really need to car to be fixed asap. thanks for any help

Dealerships do not always "Steal" your money. Yes they can charge more but thats because they use Toyota parts and have well trained staff. Price is often justified.

Another option is to take it to a reputable mechanic in which he trusts. The worst thing he could do is end up paying a diagnostic fee which would run under $100 anywhere he goes. Or he could post pictures/video to help us aid him, but without actually being there, all the internet can do is suggest parts for him to throw at it. Not a good way to fix anything.

take the wheel off, look to see if anything looks out of place, try spinning the hub. like said earlier, maybe you bent one of the brake components.

sigh...got the car to drive to the mechanic today and doesnt look too good.i have a 1000 deductable so cant afford that and neither can my parents and the quote is for $2700. its all the suspension that is messed up. it needs...Alignment, rt hub and bearing, rt track bar, rt knuckle, and suspension cross member.i guess even tho i was going slow it bent everything. so i guess im going to have to do the work myself and try my best. i will need your guy's help. they said just the crossmember is 900 bucks and i found it for 120 on ebay. so i think i can fix it for under 300 myself but i am so confused with this quote i dont know what im going to need besides this. any help will be greatly appreciated. :/

Theres no way in hell you messed up all the stuff going 5mph.
No one would design a car that basically falls apart when its given the slightest tap.
Think about how many people curb their ____ while driving.

Your story doesnt add up.

I curbed my car going 70 and only bent the rim. Also your insurance is horrible... 1000 deductible! Sounds like the shop and your insurance company saw you comming because they are taking you to brown town. Maybe you should just keep an industrial sized jug of KY in your car because you have a hell of a knack for ____ing yourself.

Maybe they should just take your license and get you a bicycle

LoL

Agreed on the Mongoose, you could get a nice one for less than 200.
