A different exhaust question
So, I hear about all these different exhaust packages; axle back, cat back, and full from various manufacturers. I understand that the more of the exhaust that you replace (s pipe, mid pipe) that the better the performance. However, what are your inputs in the increase in performance say, from an axle back to a full exhaust for the difference in price? I am leaning towards a full exhaust and want to know if the extra money will be put to good use in both sound and performance to have a full exhaust.
i think this has already been asked
anywho the companies who make axle backs you have a little more option to play with the sound n what not but you're going to pay a LOT more, and I do mean a LOT more to build your exhaust piece by piece... My problem is I don't like the look ofany of the catback exhausts on themarket rightnow, all of them jut out at an angle (drifter spec) and I don't like that, just my taste though. zer0 has a megan racing one and I've ridden in his car and its a little louder than mine but cost a hella lot less. He paid like $400 for a full exhaust while I paid that in just the s and mid pipe, then my evo2 axle back was another $600... and to be honest, I don't notice a difference, i just spent a lot oif money for a pretty canister basically... so unless you have butt loads of cash laying around your house some where its cheaper to go catback and i'd say pretty darn close to the same performance
No, I definitly don't have money just laying around. I don't mind spening a few bucks, but I certainly do not want to spend the money on a full exhaust if it wouldn't be worth it. I am looking for an exhaust system that will sound nice, give additional performance, and not be too expensive. Also, I was thinking that a full exhaust would be more difficult to install. I do not like the drift spec angle either, I am just looking for a nice exhaust that doesnt have too large of a tip.
