Well I just finished this mod and found some ways to save more money!!
Basically you buy everything like the list says, BUT dont buy the hose or the clamps. Run to your local auto store, eg autozone, and buy their small clamps @ $1.99. Then ask for some crank case vent hose or something similar. It was only $1.29 per foot. To be honest I only used about 3 inches of the new hose and reused the stock hose. Still wondering about this collapsing problem that some people have. Mine is holding up just nicely. Think I saved about ~$10 making this mod LESS than $20!!
HAHA! Fine....
Husky Air Compressor Filter - $12 @ Home Depot
2 1/4" Couplers - $.89 ea (I used barbs instead which was $3.29)
4 1/4" Clamps - $1.99 @ Autozone
Vent Case Tubing - $1.29/ft @ Autozone
Total = ~$19....(if you bought barbs like me)
I think 1 ft is plenty but just a warning.... the inlet on the inatake manifold is bigger than the oulet from the valve cover. So the hose needs to be wider when connecting to the IM. So you might want to get 6in of 1/4" ID and 6in of a bigger size. Just to be safe. Exactly what size...I have no idea. I just used my stock hose plus 3 in of the new hose. Now I have like 9 in leftover, and I have no idea what to do with it....

it would work, but the original poster has it on the wrong line........it should go from the valve cover to the intake to recirc the oil through the TB.........he is on the PCV valve in the picures and that is not going to catch any oil that way as it is sucking in not blowing it out........but the thery is sound and would work fine......but for $25 more you can get a GReddy catch can and have a nice looking piece under the hood..........depends on if you want a cleaner TB or a show piece........I personally like the idea but am going GReddy or Perrin for one just for some bling.
I just finished doing this mod to my car. The clear tubing with the nylon inside of it does NOT work.. I drove for 45 min. on the freeway in 100+ degree weather, and by the time I stopped and looked.. the tubing was way too soft.. and it was collapsed from the heat and vaccum.
I just used the stock hose for my install.. so far so good.
Oh and the hose going from the Head to the intake manifold already has oil in it!
glad I did this mod.
