Default Intake

We had all the same problems you spoke of but after all that we could not get the check engine light off, even after resetting everything. Did you have this problem and if so how did you fix it?

from reading the thread again...only people really having the problem is when they installed it with a CAI setup and they narrowed it down to either the MAF sensor not properly sealed, the piping be loose somewhere in CAR setup or the filter. i plan on getting this intake but will install it as a short-ram setup.

this thread started 2 years ago; has anyone else contacted tenzo in regards to these issues that you guys are having to go through with cai throwing a cel and fitment? or is tenzo using their customers as R&D?...... wth.

btw, another way to safegaurd the cai lower tube from get banged up is to use door edge molding around the side fender well hole.

make sure you guys get in contact with "manufactures" when product is not functioning to its peak performance.

gluck guys.

so i just installed this intake and got a cel. took off the maf grinded the posts down, and the maf went on as tight as it could. Got the cel again in 20 miles. Any advice? I don't understand how a simple pipe could cause a cel, does every cai cause a cel? If not I don't understand what's different about this one that the ecu doesn't like.

Did you disconnect the battery before the install?

Disconnect the battery again, then see if the MAF sensor is dirty. If it is clean it, then hook the battery back up and let the car idle for like 10-15 mins so the ecu can re-learn and then drive around some.
