¿cuánto cuesta?

All I've seen is the Quaife / TRD one, and that thing costs just a little less than an arm & a leg.

did you do the install your self?

The quaiffe is basicially what the TRD one is... the TRD is a rebadged quaiffe, since TRD bought out quaiffe

I just looked over the phantom grip site. $400? Almost wet myself. Need to do more digging on that one.

I did not install the differental myself. I had a shop do it.

It involves removing the transmission. I'd say its a good 8 hours of labor, I am not positive because during that time I had my clutch and flywheel installed also.

It's not just removing the transmission... it's also breaking the transmission down to its major components. The clutch/flywheel doesn't sit in the transmission. It connects the transmission to the crank; the LSD on the otherhand goes inside the transmission.

Getting a LSD in the correct way takes some adjusting.

I am no where near able to do that myself. A poor install of a differential will totally ruin your vehicle. Well, you'll need to replace the LSD at least.

Since the diff cost quite a pretty penny, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Well the best I can think of is Rick McCallum (RAAMaudio.) He did a PG install on a Matrix. I realize that's a different LSD on a different transmission on a different car but it doesn't seem like anyone else has done any kind of LSD installation. He also had a PG for the tC but I don't think it was ever installed.

Rick has been a little busy lately since he just moved to Colorado and is still running a business. If you email him he'll be able to offer some insight on a general sense. Other than that, if anyone can help you on Scionlife, he or she doesn't seem willing to post up.

Installed the Quaife. Quite a bit involved install both in terms of removing the trans and installing the dif in the trans. It works fantastic though. Smooth and helps a tremendous amount in handling and grip. Can actually power out of corners without spinning like crazy.
