I doubt anyone would bother doing it. The gains would be very minimal if any because there is only a few inches of piping from where the axle is to the back of the catalytic converter.

I think he means from the cat on the header, replacing the s-pipe and whole midpipe.

I too am interested in replacing everything from the headers up to the TRD axle-back, especially that damn s-pipe. has anyone done this yet?

Currently I have this mod in the works. These are mods being intsalled this week and next week. Due to back orders its being delayed. Once I get the full s-pipe/catback exhaust and the K & N I will let you know how it sounds and how it performs. I plan on having it dynoed and if my friend and I can get some good results w/ the exhaust we will look into making these for sale. I will attempt to post pics and get some sound clips in the next month please keep checking the forums.

If thats what he means then it isnt called a full catback like the title states..... A catback is from the catalytic converter back, not the from the catalytic converter foward....

Well the first cat is on the header so technically this is what I would consider to be a "full" cat-back. All of the O2 sensors work with the first cat (or primary cat) not the second one. You would pass a basic emissions test even if you deleted the second cat. Hell here in Maryland they don't even test the gases coming from the car, they just hook it up to an OBD-II reader. If what he wants to do is to be worth-while at all, then he'd have to do it from the primary cat on back.

Good point but generally when people talk about cat backs they are talking about the cat before the axle. Most of the exhaust marketed as cat backs are from the cat before the axle back not from the front pipe back.

Good counter-point. That's a great marketing tactic to get people to think they're getting a good deal.
