I heard a rumor that there is a conversion kit that can change the Tc from a FWD to a RWD. is this true??

it isn't exactly un-possible. i mean, the ford focus has a 5.0 v8, rwd conversion kit...sure it only costs 20 grand on top of the car itself, but yeah, it can be done.

That Focus is Bada$$. I wouldnt mind owning it for sure. But back to the point, I dont really see how it could be done without custom fabbing all the parts. To my knowledge, and I could be wrong, there arent too many pieces that transfer over, and I know that there isnt a tc in Japan, maybe Europe but I dont think so.

Conversion kit? No.

Converting is not impossible though. Close to it, for most people.

LOL!

No sir...

The Toyota Avensis shares the same chassis as the tC, however, the Avensis is AWD. THE RS*R team that built the Formula D tC essentially removed the front portion.

It wouldn't be easy or cheap, but 20k is a bit high. I interviewed Ken Gushi awhile back, and intended to release it as a podcast, but I've been busy. When I get around to posting it, I'll let you guys know.

2 things come to mind when thinking about a RWD tc.......

the rear end is the easy part, since we already have a "driveshaft tunnel" and the AWD caldina rear end (maybe even the new matrix AWD) will bolt up, if not mounts could be made pretty easily!

biggest problem is, finding a transmission to work with out transversely mounted engines, wich would mean either custom making one, or simply modifiying an AWD tranny to work rear-wheel drive (point in case, one does not exist)

only other option is to longitudinally mount an engine (just like the RSR tc) which requires the use of a different engine(which lots of people say it wouldnt make the Tc a Tc anymore, like they say about the RSR) custom mounts etc etc etc etc etc!!!

so yes, lots of bling bling is necessary
