Default E-Brake Light Issues

Ok, so this isn't the first time this has happend. My E-brake works fine, however, under moderate acceleration the e-brake light pops on. This happens just about all the time. I had the e-brake tightened about a month ago and that solved the problem...but only for a little while because now its back. Any help?

how many miles you have on your car, the light comes on when your brake pads are almost done or the brake fluid is low.

search.

means either your brake pads or brake fluid is low. have both checked, replace whatever is necessary, and please search.

i had the same issue, mine turned out to be low level of fluid in brake fluid reservoir... reason being under acceleration, your front end actually picks up, like the angle of the engine bay changes, and the reservoir is like any other tank in the car and has a sensor that detects levels, so when you accelerate it reads in the reservoir as being low since most of the fluid is pushed away from the sensor.. so my advice is check that first after making sure its not the E-brake

there's a low level because your brake pads are pretty much in need of replacing.
don't fill up that tank whatsoever before checking your pads...

covered alot already.
