More than 12whp less than 20whp. That's with i/h/e only. I say less that 20whp, because I haven't seen that much gain with engine managements on the tC with just bolt-ons. That would be a HUGE gain. I really think that realistic ghains would be around 15-18whp. If u gain more, CONGRATS!

do you mean 12-20 from i/h/e and then less than 20 more from the e manage? Also do you just install it and your done or what do you have to do thanks...

I meant that when tuning with the e-manage Ult. with full bolt-ons, there is a chance of 12 to 20 whp to be gained. How do I know this? The Cam Con was able to achieve 12whp on 91 oct here in SL. My tuner who is used to tune tC in PR, since he is the one that tuned the turbo tC from one of the members here at SL, and made 356whp with stock bottom, he told me that more than 15whp was achievable with the e-manage and my bolt-ons. I had I/H/E/ and pulley. 160* thermostat and some little things. All I needed was to do head work, which I never ghot around to do, and sold my tC, and moved to Orlando. End of story.

your not going to get alot of power tuning with a piggyback. the ecu is already tuned for running N/A. your not going to make and effective amount of horsepower for the money your spending. you have to buy the emanage ultimate, and a harness and get it tuned on a dyno by a technician to get any gains. you don't just plug it in and make more power. it has to be professionally done.

But I never got to tune it? Now I feel bad. I always tried to be the SL experiment with a lot of parts, but never could finish some of them. I did the thermostat experiment, the RX8 throttle body, Ebay Intake, and some other things. But I needed the money from tuning the e-manage to move to Orlando. Bohoo.

Why did put a 160 thermostat on your car it hurt you power. On cars with obdII and California emissions the care needs at least a 172 thermostat to operate properly. Its probably taking you car forever to hit closed loop. Your temp is staying too low causing it to stay in open loop a lot longer than needed. I got a 160 for my car but there isn't a need to put it in all motor, until you have a stand alone b/c you are hurting your power.

Actually the tempt kept steady at 178*-185*, so there was no problm. Letting the car run a little colder, never hurts, and since I was not in Cali, emissions were no problem for me, and no, there was never no problem with closed loop, since the car can enter it with the MAF signal over 3.6V I think. I used it because I was planning on leaning the AFR a little more, causing more heat due to being closer to detonation. By letting the engine run a litte more colder, and gain a little more margin for error with detonation. Get it? It's like using Spark Plugs one step colder than normal for detonation.

It depends on the shop and the tuner. It will also depend on what you are trying to do? All motor or turbo.

p-tuning charges $250 for the first hour of tunning and $150 for every hour after that.

well, i really like p-tuning because they work on a lot of tc's so they know their poop. and they say the get most tc done in two hours they said, well, for turbocharged tc's.

So is doing the TRD thermostat worth it? I know every little bit helps, and a colder denser air charge will create horsepower even if its 2-4 hp its worth it to me..

Not worth it, I had a thermostat of the same rating but not the TRD, it didn't help much. Don't worry about it. If u want to do it, then do it, but it's not worth thwe money u have to spend on the TRD piece.
