Hey guys! I recently installed my header I got off of ebay (I know people hate ebay) but anyways I installed this defiler

and the light was off for about 5 days and then popped up. Frustrating because gas mileage will suffer and obviously nobody really likes that..so is resetting the ecu required aka disconnecting the battery after installing the header? Does the hole on the defiler need to be a certain size?

side not the header color is coming out nicely ha

 

i have the same problem with my header to so i said jus forget it in alaska i cant get good gas milage and it hasnt affected mine that much

 

You are putting the defouler on the 2nd O2 sensor, right? What code are you throwing?

 

yup defouler is on the second O2, all the guy at auto zone said to me was its for a cat and walked away.

On a positive note put in a 27" resonator and must say love the sound of the car now.

 

O2 anti-fouler trick doesn't always work. Sometimes you need two, sometimes it won't matter. Just be sure that all you are throwing is a cat code.

 

Thanks for the replies guys...No spacers were included with the defouler, If it comes back on after I cleared it and bothers me that much I'll try the weapon r out. I'll just have to check the code out otherwise at work every once in a while just to make sure the cat code is the only one I am getting.

After seeing the link to the dezod my defouler it has the same diameter hole as the smallest dezod one. I disconnected my battery and have been driving quite a bit and it has yet to come on so I'm crossing my fingers that it stays off.

 

Mine is "L" shaped, got from "INLIKEFLINT" here new. Reason Dezod's green header is good, is because second sensor calibrates primary for A/F ratio. Dezod's green header doesn't require mod.
