Scion XB. Cheap Ebay intake. A little power gain easy install. Louder than stock. But a "good" loud. Works good.

'97 Mustang. Expensive name brand intake with K&N. Loud, whistled, sealed all joints. Still loud & whistled. Removed and sitting in a box.

The only issue I've had with the short intake is with auto car washers that have the undercarriage and/or "wheel blaster" jets.

I got an ebay short ram intake with a K&N filter on it. Had it for over a year now, no issues. Sounds great too.

RSRI = really short ram intake

i think when it comes to ebay and generic performance products, you just have to have faith in what you are buying and what you expect out of it.

there have been a few times ive seen the generic injen knock-offs that are mislabeled, for example, the short ram for the xB was also advertised as the short ram fo the xA, but it doesnt fitt, silly silly

This is a stretch, but I bought a generic ebay intake for my previous car, a Subaru Legacy. It was $30, a definite improvement in performance, but loud as hell and after a while I checked the inside if the intake and the filter let a lot of dirt in. Maybe with a better filter it would be ok. However, the stock intake on that car was way more convoluted and restrictive than on the tc. But overall, a good buy.

okay this is how it goes a company buys a big name brand over priced intake they make an exact replica of it get a paper air filter and throw it ina box and sell it for what a pieace of pipe is really worth! i say ebay for an intake is perfect just get a k&n cone filter and if ur really ballsy paint aem on it with a stencil cause thats what it is just minus the price tag and a license plate frame and sticker! sorry just thought it was time for someone to speak the truth!
