oh has anyone ever tried doing it with the front bumper off, I imagine it would be easier to get to some of the more tight spots...

Simple Green is perfect for the job. You can put a plastic grocery bag over the intake, fuse box, and ecu related items. Just put a rubber band over the bag to hold it on.

Dont go nutty with the hose

Just use low pressure for rinsing.

Once you clean it well the first time it should only take 10-15 min thereafter if you do it monthly. Take before and after pics for us
