That is not an engine problem. Most likely something stuck in your tire. That is the first simple thing to check. An internal bearing issue will not increase frequency with wheel speed. It does so with engine speed, whether or not the car is moving or not.

the sound is wierd....sometimes it's really loud, other times barely audible. We've checked all 4 tires and there's nothing rubbing & I've had this problem before after my SS+P install and it happened to be one of the lines tapping on the heatshield on the brakes.

We've also tried looking for rocks behind the heatshield, bending it back anyway, re-arranging the abs lines and stuff....still clicks. I'm headed over to a shop right now, I'll post if I find a solution.

I had a mustang that began making a kind of ticking sound that came from one of the wheels or something in that area. It was more of a mix between a tick and a squish... but after doing it for 10k miles I gave up looking for it and wrote it off to a wierd tire issue

does this sound like an engine bearing noise? Has anyone had an issue with a clicking noise coming from under there car when shifting? It only does it when I shift from 1-2-3 there is no noise with 4-5. But when ever i let off of the clutch in 1-2-3 there is a loud click sound, is this common? It doesn't matter is the car has been running for 5 min or 4 hours it still makes the noise, it just gets louder the longer i run my car for!!

Well I have narrowed down the problem to the transmission. The noise is only when in gear.
