My car is doing something pretty weird and it never used to do it before, as least i don't think so. Normally when i approach a stop sign or a red light i throw it into neutral and brake but as begin to come to a stop the idle jumps up to 1500rpm and then slowly drops back to normal idle. It does this every time i come to a stop. Does anyone else have the same problem or know of this problem?

 

downshift...

roll to the stop in 2nd then clutch in and use the brakes like 10 ft from the line...

 

i have had this problem before, i wonder if its normal, or if something is wrong...

 

this is actually quite common. i noticed when i was n/a that it used to happen more prominently after i reset the ecu.

 

i think its normal cuz mine did that from day one 4miles on it...when you push the clutch it it hopes to like 1200rpms its almost liek a downshift assist lol or could be some emissions crap....becuase i know like when you let off the gas it can cause a misfire not sayin on a new car but i think it eases it off to aid in emissions...my guess cuz i thought it was just my car and i had a customers tc and took it for a ride and it did the same...
