Engine light is on, help
My step daughters 2006 TC engine light came on & I'm
taking it to the dealer soon. I understand there is a $48
diagnostic fee, but won't my warranty take care of any
issues with my engine? I know it could be anything like a
loose hose, etc. Any advice will be helpful.

Unless you have some kind of extended warranty, there is no warranty left on a 2006 Scion tC from the factory. Don't waste any money on the dianosis at the dealership. As said above, most places will pull the code for free and even clear it if it is just a nusense code.
