hey im having a problem with my engine reving by itself when it is cold outside and then when the compressor kicks in you can feel the motor kind of strugleing it also will jump from like 1000 to 3000 rpm is this normal is any one else having this problem let me know

 

every cold morning.. for the past year.. im not worried about it... sensors need to warm up.. ECU cant read a cold o2

this is normal with any gasoline powered car. It has to run a little rich to get the engine warm.

 

Just from the past comments on this issue - i think its normal.

 

Yeah its like its rubbing its hands together to warm up.

mine has never went to 3,000 on it's own but maybe like 1,800 or so.

Its perfectly normal, its like me waking up in the morning without caffeine, I'm totally braindead until then, your car just needs to wake up and warm up a tad bit
