My friends dad owns a shop and has a 300zx twin turbo posted up
he said we could swap it if it fits in my Tc

does anyone know if it will fit?
and if so
what u think about it? to much?

 

Its gonna weigh a ton. The tc is NOT a good platform for engine swaps. Yeah that one guy on here put a swap in before but honestly its not gonna work well. With that engine you might as well put it to good use and put it in a RWD car, not FWD. If you want performance look to Turbo or Nitrous.

 

I doubt it wud fit and even if it wud ud need a rear drive axle..... bc its for rwd car. Basically if you have the money anything is possible.

The severity of swapping the "horrible" VG30-DETT would be impossible without doing extreme modifications to your car. Plus, it was a huge pain in the butt to work on in the 300ZX engine bay let alone the tC bay which is half the size. I'm not even going to get into the troubles of converting your car to RWD.
I say throw some boost on your 2AZ and call it a day.

 

VG30 is a good motor and anything can be made to fit, just will be an expensive PITA. I've thought about a swap a couple times and the best bang for buck motor I kept coming back to is a 4g63... king of the 4 cyl! Now a 4G63 AWD tc is within reach and would be bad ___... I may still do it

theres a member on here with a v6,look him up,that is a doable swap, a Z motor is not
