warranty question
b.o.b. Tc: how did you get a LIFETIME engine warranty? I went for the 7 yr/75K mile warranty bumper to bumper myself, it covers virtually everything, and was only $1100, my buddy who has a '06 Mustang GT got the same type of warranty though Ford charged him $4000!!!, and like someone else said, if the part you modify does not cause the problem you want fixed under warranty, it has no bearing on the warranty, you will still be covered. The warranty I got even pays for lodging (up to $100/night) and a rental if the car breaks down in BFE and I have to get a hotel, also roadside assist, towing and labor, and they will tow to a Scion dealer! Many other perks as well, sweet huh?

^ got the same on mine sciontC love that thing
to B.O.B tC: depending on if you have a/t or m/t depends on how much your gonna see gains. Like a lot of peeps suggestion. Do research first on the SC, turbo, and just N/A bolt ons. From there determine what you want to do to your car. If your wanting to go FI then stay away from bolt ons and use that money to save for the FI kit. If your sure you just want bolt ons then search around for companies that appeal to you and you think you will like. I personally stay away from pullies. They are not a true power adder, just a weight reducer. I've gone with bolt ons but am now positioning myself for FI within a year possibly. So the money I put on on this stuff is going to be lost b/c I will have to sell it off to get rid of it. This site is full of good helpful info, just look and search for your questions and if you can't seem to find it ask someone, most will help you and point you in the right direction of where to locate/find something. He!! they may even tell you the answer if they know it off the top of their head.

Its Warr-A-nty, its also most likely not lifetime. A header is less likely to do anything to your engine and they would have to prove that the header is in fact the culprit. The pulleys are a lot more dangerous, and while I don't want to cause an argument with all the die hard pulley owners, I would wait until my warranty is done to slap those things on. They will blame anything and everything on the pulleys and unless you have a room full of lawyers on your side as they do on theirs, they will most likely win.

I know, I was amazed that Chrysler, of all brands, would offer such a thing. As for other makes, I have not heard of a "lifetime" engine warranty, I would like to learn more about that as well. As far as the pulleys go, you guys are on the mark as far as the fact they save weight, but do nothing for performance. Such as adding power. I had racing pulleys on my '03.5 G35 Infiniti 6 speed, and I now know it was a waste of money.
What's great about the Tc, is it has about as many features as my Infiniti did, but get 3x better gas mileage and performs like a Mini Cooper S and was $21K out the door! I feel it is a cross between my old Infiniti and a Mini in terms of luxury and performance.

I got the DC Sport header and I noticed a good gain in my a/t. However it does create rasp so make sure you have a good exhaust setup so you don't sound like a ____ed off bumble bee in a coffee can. Which mine sounds like when its cold. Once the pipes warm up its a bit more pleasing on the ears, although still raspy so I have to get a resonator.
