What does everyone think would be the best sounding and functioning exhaust for an automatic tC?

 

auto/manual doesn't matter with an exhaust..it's all about personal taste..

do research and search the forums and youtube..you will find plenty of information....

 

i vote trd for an automatic. cat backs sound kind of silly to me on an auto for some reason lol

 

I could swear that the TRD exhaust on a standard tc was louder than on an auto tC, or my imagination.

 

i like my friends megan cat back with no silencer... but he has an auto.... gl

 

^^ would that happen to be the drift spec? It's loud as a mo fo but it's sexy. I only have the axle back section and it's kinda loud. A buddy of mine with a civic says he loves it wants one for himself. The drift spec isn't too popular so I've noticed but it's nice. Unique sound, angled tip..


I agree with emperor. Search around. YouTube is great. Also I think there is a buyer's guide on here. Good luck. Oh and manual and auto, I bet the only difference is you'll never hear it at redline wot with an auto.

HKS all the way,the only exhaust that gets that burble sound and it changes tones nicely as you accelerate,not jsut get louder,but changes tones.....that is the only way I can describe it.

 

I had the HKS on my 5spd and I LOVED it, but sold it because I needed cash. I hate driving with silence lol

 

I have the TRD - love it.
Get compliments on it still after 4 years, and it looks like new.

had the injen ses but was too rasp with headers

I currently have the Greddy spectrum elite, its very low even with headers and auto shifting (seq shift)

 

TRD SOUNDS DIRTY and it looks clean from the back as long as you take care of it

yea... thats the one.... its a megan racing drift spec cat back..... very nice deep sound

 

for an automatic id go with a trd. just bc i think anything else wouldn't sound as good as it would on a 5spd

 

5spd or automatic..exhausts will act/sound the same..it's all subjective..

 

HKS is pretty awesome in those YouTube vids so far. Beautiful deep resonance.

 

idk bout sounding the same, in a 5spd the sound of an exhaust can drastically change due to the person being able to change gears at different RPMs as opposed to an auto which will change gears on its own even when u don't want it to, so it will give it different tones. but besides that the sound itself will be the same, just not while in motion so much
