exhaust question
Anyone on here have a straight pipe or i guess stock mid pipe without resonator and a hks hi power axle back? I was thinking of removing the the resonator but I wasn't sure how it would sound so if anyone has any input thanks.
If you have the money for it, sure. If you find it to loud, you can always get resonators put on the midpipe (or if you have a header, thats a must), but it should sound pretty good with midpipe and spipe.
I'd go with 2.25" piping if you do, thats good for a n/a setup.

if no header 2.5 will end up losing flow speed and backpressure....if header then you are gaining flow speed and losing back pressure so you will change the hp and torque range.
stock set up with HKS will sound great, stock with HKS and altered midpipe will sound great,
Add header and no resonator and you got instant yuck.

thats not true at all.....if that was the case people wouldnt be upgrading there exhaust...you might loose some low end power but nothing noticeable.....stock is restrictive bigger piping means better flow of the gases so the engine can breathe.....anything bigger then 2.5 is no good unless your turboed but other then that most compants have 2.5 inch piping for the exhasut...it all depends on your setup and car...i have a megans catback with downpipe i gain some power didnt loose any and its 2.5 inch piping....some say if you put in the exhasut silencer that feel a little bit boost
