Default exhaust question

Is it possible to run a straight through exhaust to free up power or would that rob power.

if you stay naturally aspirated, do it at 2.25" and you'll get the most gains
any low boost (under 1 bar) setup you'll want 2.5".... once you hit the 1 bar point i'd recommend a 3" setup

Well I just had my exhaust done today and it sounds great!! I ran a 2 1/4" straight pipe from the S pipe back so now that I am running this setup and a DC Sport header the only thing that is restricking me is the S pipe and I have already ordered it and just waiting for it to show up. Oh yeah if anyone is thinking of doing this same setup put a resonator because there is a little high pitched rattle sound with out one.
