I know that a CAI (under normal driving conditions) will give an improvement on gas mileage. Will exhaust have the same effect?

 

I'm no expert, but as I understand it, the engin will breath easier with less backpressure, allowing for it to 'work' easier to expell exhaust gases. IMO, hop on howstuffworks.com and check out their info. It is detailed and VERY informative for newbies to the basics of automotive mechanics.

Exactly!!! When I got my CAI I prolly lost 5mpg for the first three tanks cause I love that sound Getting my custom system installed today :D :D :D Thanks for the input

 

 

OMG i couldnt have said it better myself. I still get like 3 MPG because all i do is just floor it all day long because the sound is beautiful
