well - if you want performance get an spipe and a custom mid pipe w/ resonator (and keep your muffler). That could be a start for future mods on your car. I have a draxas exhaust and it sounds like an 8cyl mustang mixed w/ a g35ish/nissan z'izh tone (kinda .... its pretty darn deep). I like it a lot but nothing is going to be as quiet as the stocker. But for 125-150 you can get the spipe and for a small amount ....a midpipe w/ resonator ...that way you are ready to get a header down the road. If you put 2 - 15inch resonators you will have the best setup for a header. hope that helped.

oh yea - im 100% sure of that. if you want to keep the stock muffler do it the right way and get the spipe (any one thats being sold thats 2.5 inches) and and go to a muffler shop and get a custom midpipe with two 15inch resonators ... you will be VERY happy with that. take my word on it .... im not new to this forum.

oh ya - and to answer your question - since you dont have a resonator right now you have lots of rasp. i have one 20inch resonator and guys say it works well w/ headers rasp ...but if you are building a custom midpipe ..... people say to go with two 15inchers (cause you want 30inches of resonator)

I'll just post it here and spare people the n00b thread - what is rasp, exactly? The word makes me think of fast moving air out of a small hole, almost whistle-like. Still not sure though.

The true humor is that I know exactly what you're talking about.
