Hey guys summers wrapping up and I would be out of a job once school starts so I don't know what I'm going to do with some of my last paycheck. I would use around 400-450. I want a HKS exhaust system/Radar or an Injen CAI with 20-30% tint and possibly a nice little radar.

Get springs, rear sway bar and a strut bar. I know it's not a mod you listed but you'll feel such a difference.

 

Save some money on the radar, only go at most 5-8 miles above posted speed limit!

 

Get the radar detector. Buy a really good one. Despite what anyone here will tell you, the best thing you can buy for your scion to go faster is a really good radar detector.

 

Iono I'm a cornering freak. I could go for sways and coilovers if you are able to afford it. I recommend some teins.

 

Escort Passport 8500 or Valentine 1. The two best radar detectors money can buy.

 

radar detectors get you in that mode where you think you can't get caught. But radar detectors are not full proof. there's what is called a "punch through". Doesn't matter what detector you get, with most of them, they are useless at about 100 ft. from the radar. I know from experiance. I had one of the best radar detectors money could buy and the 6 + tickets on my record prove that it's a POS. like GT4Dreams said, only go 5-8 MPH over and you'll be OK.

My last ticket i got i got tagged by an airplane. he was flying up above, and my radar detector didn't go off once. next thing i know i was in a huge speed trap.

 

^^^my radar detector works well beyond 100 ft. and it has saved me plenty of money. I have however gotten one ticket when a cop paced me from behind.

I think we can all agree the TC begs for a drop, so get one.

 

Forget tint and the radar get springs & exhaust.
