Default Exhaust Rattle

I got my ptuning 3" exhaust installed but while driving every little bump I hit it sounds like it is just bouncing around on the cross member. Does anyone else have this problem and is there anything to do to fix it?

I have a mid pipe that did that. A hammer worked great!

Have you gotten under it yet to see exactly what is happening? Otherwise it's just speculation on what is the actual problem.

Well ya, I saw that it is just a couple inches from the cross member and I cant look at it while its driving for obvious reasons so I would assume thats what the problem is.

I was thinking about just heat wrap around the cross member so it not so loud and it should be fine, Its seems to be the fitment issue from running the adapter from the Turbo toyotas 2.5" s-pipe to the ptuning 3".

push the midpipe up and down to see where EXACTLY it's hitting. My Dezod was hitting on a heatshield bolt. I bent the hangers a bit (the ones nearest to the spipe)

Your exhaust should not be rattling or hitting any part of your car. There's a cross-bar that sits underneath the center of the car under the exhaust tunnel. This black cross-bar needs to be removed (2 bolts) since it does not allow enough clearance for the 3" exhaust tubing.

Here's how the ptuning 3" exhaust should look like after installation.

If you're still unsure, give us a call at 1.877.PTUNING

What Mr.C said, there is no hammering, or bending required. Double check the install or give us a call to help out.

Removing the cross-bar seemed to be the answer. No noise since.
