Default A few emissions questions

If you have a CAI can you pass emissions?
If you have a header can you pass emmissions?
What are some other things that might cause you not to pass?
I see some of the trouble it is to put some of the mods on and changing back is not really an option since someday I would just like to sell my car and leave it the way it is.

i dont know where you life but here in washington, me and my freind have passed and we have all three of those. his car is a 95 civic hatch with a gsr in it. he has no cats just test pipes and he passed by shoving steel wool in his tail pipe a block before the test place. it worked and it blew out down the road.

This all depends on if they do a visual ispection or not....

If they don't and like Oregon, just plug into your obdII port... then all you have to do is ensure that you have a good antifouler mod for the header and you'll be just fine.

Cool, so I can get a header and not have to remove it later then? I live in AZ and this is the next mod I want. I just don't want to have to remove it when I get it tested or if I sell it. Btw, I would only sell it because I am thinking about a 350Z.

In california, the vehicle is plugged into the smog machine and even though you clear the codes, the smog computer will run a test on the car during the smog run, on the dyno, and catch the code on the computer.

Ohh.... so sad for Cali.... Just have to switch it in and out for smog checks and pray not to get pulled over and inspected if you live there.....

Oregon is talking about adopting similiar rules......

Hell in a Handbasket..... it's all going....
