I am going thru the same thing about a month ago i decide to get my money back and use it for other things so i went thru the whole thing with "we are working on it" with racingsolutions, then i was told that they had to get the money from SS and nothing happened. Finally i got a msg from both racingsolutions and scionspeed saying that refunds will not be issued until the kits begin to come out because all the preorder money SS has recieved was put towards the manfacturing of the kits. So as the kits come out and your spot in line to recieve one come up will get your money back instead of the kit....
Ofcourse the basic problem is WHEN if ever the accounts will ever come out. In which case the best that can be done at this is waiting i guess and hoping that the kits start coming out soon. If not the best possible suggestion I can give is possible legal action. I wish i had my 3500 bucks (it would make my life much easier).

Hope this helps

that is some messed up ____. if i wanted a refund of MY OWN MONEY i expect to receive it within 2 weeks after my request(one month at the most). how long will it take to get to your preorder spot? by that time you might as well just get the turbo kit and not the refund.

Time to call a lawyer. That is some messed up stuff. Unless you signed some pre-order agreement stating that the money is "non-refundable until delivery", I would demand my cash or they should expect legal action. I mean they could not deliver...ever and you still wouldn't have your cash.

I don't understand, once they start shipping kits, they are just magically gonna have your money? Why is it held up now and won't be later?

Get a hold of the Attorney Generals office in the state they have brick and mortar in. You might even be able to get the feds involved since they took this scam to the internet and the amount of money involved.

Then....I would non-stop hammer the magazines they were featured in. Why would they promote a scam company like this.

It was just down right deplorable for you guys to have this grievousness thwarted against you.
Un-friggin'believable how cynical ZPI was Bashed when I never heard a negative comment about ScionSpeed till recently.

Money that is put into a company to develop a product is known as investment. Investment implies ownership in the company or a percentage of the returns from the product... unfortunately no one got a contract . Theoretically all you would have to do is get an attorney friend to file suit against them... you'd never have to go to court and they'd cough up your money.

^^^ I like that....

A delay is one thing. But when the customer has had enough (8 months or so would be enough for anyone) and then can't get a refund until they sell something they have yet to produce, which is the reason for the request for refund in the first place or they have to"find" the money...

Something is wrong.

it gets worse guys ive talked with a reliable source whom said what this company could be is doing is illegal, its called leverage! which means their taking peoples money on a promise ,then use that money for any given purpose, it could be to pay staff or outstanding dept or their own venues, but no matter what they cannot touch that money for any other purpose than to build the product, now that is if they are using the funds too other than building the kits, if they can prove the money is going straight into building the kits then they might be ok,...might !! but come on 8 months!!? you cannot tell me they have been using the said funds to strictly build the kits , if thats the case they would have had the kit by now ! and whats even worse is if this company files chapter 11, you will never see a dime back!

Contact the Better Business Bureau. There's a good chance that they're already watching SS.

What is this world comming to?

I've been bashing ScionSpeed for a few months while defending ZPI. I was astonished that not a single person made any stink of ScionSpeed while ZPI was being crucified. ScionSpeed themselves even came on here to bash ZPI, WTF! I was even spoken against when I opened my mouth against SS a couple of months ago.

Where is Scionspeed? They rarely ever post a damn thing on here unless it's to flaunt their showcar. Their showcar that was probably financed by all this pre-order money. They even got numerous magazine articles showcasing them, meanwhile ZPI is dragged through the dirt and back.

ZPI has made good on numerous issues and they are here DAILY answering numerous questions while people continue to hate on them. WHY?!

If ScionSpeed has ANY concern over this community, they would make it a point to respond to this thread. But they probably won't.

I KNOW they won't.

ZPI was delayed, but the difference was Kenny always said up front....if you want your money back...take it. That is a company that knew they had these things just about ready. They would then sell them for list price. No loss to them...in fact a gain.

We were some of the first to pony up for turbo kits - and will be some of the last to actually receive from anybody in this initial turbo rush.

I can't express just how disappointed I am.

I finally got my money back through my credit card company. Now, I can move on. It was not due to Scionspeed refunding my money, but rather my credit card working for me on the chargeback process.

I had even told Scionspeed (Alexis) about initiating a chargeback process through my credit card 3 weeks ago just to speed them up to refund my money, but they didn't budge. So, I'm glad I did initiate it (even after giving them some time), and now I have my money back....

How's your refund coming along, Draven?

It's not here... this would be a great time for RacingSolution to be more proactive. Please try to do something. SS has your money, which is my money.

Unfortunately I have still not been able to get ahold of a responsible party at Scion Speed.

On a brighter note.. Chris will be receiving his ZPI Stage 1 Turbo kit in a few weeks.. Kenny over at ZPI graciously offered his assistance to help my customers get a turbo setup.

I will continue to attempt to get my money back from Scion Speed. At least my customers are taken care of now.

A friend of mine overheard at NOPI that one of the major players in the turbo kits for the tc's will likely file ch.7. No name was mentioned but this would leave one obvious name. One of the guys in the group was from a popular shop in CA. He immediately recognized the shop name being a huge EVO fan (my friend) since they specialize in EVOs. I don't know how much if any truth there is but considering the laws are changing very soon it would seem like very good timing.
