Fuel Injector Cleaner
BP Product's 44K fuel system cleaner, dump it in the tank, fill up. I usually use it every 13k-15k miles. Usually notice a rough idle which tells me that I need to clean the injectors. 44k tis the only cleaner that has worked for me, tried everything else. Gave up once I found that this worked and worked well. about $20 a can. yes mpg's did go up about 3-4mpg.
Also, BG Products have said to only use it every 15k miles as over-usage is not beneficial. Think about it, if it's strong enough to remove carbon deposits and varnish, then it shouldn't be used every 3-5k miles and that schedule isn't required for a cleaner that actually cleans off all the deposits.
every 15k would be more than enough for a product like 44k fuel system cleaner.
Tnx for all the input guys... Im about to hit 25000 mileage and notice that in the past few months my mpg consumption increase... I'll try cleaning my fuel injectors and see if it will give mo more mpg.
I know some might not think much about Gumout, but the Rogaine formula is among the cleaners with the highest concentration of PI. Which is the main chemical compound used among cleaners, even higher than Techron which is good. Another one would be the Redline cleaner, but the Rogaine is much cheaper and easy to find.
