Default Fujita CAI '08

I contacted Fujita about the CAI CEL problem, they said they would send me the updated 08 version. I just recieved it.

It shrinks at the MAF (like the Injen one). Just thought I would share.

I have the wrinkled black version so back to contacting fujita about this otherwise I'll have a mismatched CAI.

I had the battery disconnected throughout the whole 2-3 hour install(i did it outside in 12 degree weather) so I couldn't feel my hands trying to remove the stupid stock intake box. I did it at 7 am with like 3 hours of sleep so i wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, I did put on gloves after that though. But after i was done, i left the car idling for 5-10 minutes. Turned it off, turned it back on, drove around normally for 15-20 minutes. I came home, shut the car off, and 30 minutes later I came out, drove it around and gave it a bit of throttle so i can hear the intake and motor(sounds nice) no cel was thrown. Came home again, and hour or so later I goto start the car, BAM cel

I just disconnected the battery again and reset it. Monday I am giong to call Fujita if it happens again. I made sure everything is tight and snug, reinstalled the maf(made sure it was flush with the intake.

Just called Fujita today, they asked for me to take pictures of the CAI, namely the primary pipe that goes into the Intake Manifold. Appears I bought a 2007 model only

Either case they said they will send out a new kit where I can just swap out the primary pipe and sent back the rest of the kit to them prepaid shipping =). Love their service!

Also can i use an AEM bypass valve on the fujita? Any problems?

I have mine I can take pics of it with my camera and send em to you later tonight. The install is pretty straight forward(cept for the Bumper removal, man what a pita). The instructions do not cover the bumper removal though, i did find a DIY on it though.

Its cached, but this is what I used. Take it slow, and I'll try to post pics of the install instructions for you tonight.

Also # for Fujita is: 1-951-834-9290

saberz,
your the best I would greatly appriciate it if you can do that. I have been looking all over for a diy for the fujita intake and nothing! That is the reason why i have yet to install it. I pray that when I do install it the cel light does not stay on

K pics are coming online now. I took em with the G1 at a Very high resolution so you should be able to see the text and zooming in should remain clear on a PC using the Windows Image viewer(default image app) or any app you use. I broke it down by 6 instructions each.

All up. I was going to embed them, but they were loading like 2000x1500 rez lol. I can email them too, as I dont know if photobucket will give me a bandwidth error but who knows. Not a problem, between this and the bumper removal you should be set. Instake install is similiar for most years.
