I actually wrote this letter to fujita, however, they decided not to reply.(great customer service I know)

Here is the letter:

"I have your intake on a 2006 Scion TC. This is not a complaint, just want to know if this sound is normal or not. Now, I have installed then re-installed this intake twice to make sure everything was correct.

Anyway, I can hear the this "Buzzing/Resonating sound" between 3500-4000 RPM. I can only hear this sound with the windows down while kind "listening for it". This sound is only heard under WOT. After 4K RPM, the sound goes away and its then just the sweet sound all the way till redline,

Im just wondering, is this sound normal? (I know intakes make a lot of different noises, such as the whistle, deep growl etc). The sound isnt extremely loud or anything, I just have good attention to detail.

Could it just be the intake "kicking in"? Terbulant air?"


Any other fujita owners expeirence the same thing? Anybody have anything to add?

I own a Fujita intake for the 2007. I've never had any problems out of mine except for once, which was the intake tube rattling against the car's fender hole. Right now a sock is keeping it from rattling, but I plan on getting one of those Dr. Isotopes gasket. Other than that, there have been no odd noises. Good luck finding out what it is.

Haha, I guess sock is the key of all our problems!!! jk. I'm using one too for the rattling. hehe

 

You dont hear a slight buzz at 3500-4000 rpm?

Its very brief, can only be heard with windows down while paying attention.

I think it's normal, at least not hurting anything.

Anybody have any info?
