Hey you can also do these-

1. Get skinny LRR ties on light weight rimes.
2. Loose those ufckin ugly spoilers!
3. lower your car
4. make an under tray
5. Shut your car off while taking pictures of your HID's!
6. Less A/C use
7. Loose the sub's
8. Make your fat girlfriend walk, or better yet push (carefully) your car.
9. Jog your fat butt somewhere!
10. wheel covers (mooneyes)

Default More Ideas...

Has anyone tryed "slow-filling"? I have just started doing it on random intervals to see if there is any difference.

Slow-filling - Pumping gas slowly and not on the fastest setting. Supposedly prevents the gas from vaporizing i believe.

I'll get back to you guys if I see any major changes. Will take a while though to get accurate statistics.

You do realize that @ 50psi cold, the tires are actually around 60-70psi when heated up, right? Didn't think so.

Actually I did, SMART GUY!

They were filled when warm, so don't worry about it and sound so smart!

I'm confused about what someone said earlier about how coasting to a stop in neutral uses more gas than downshifting and decelerating?

When the car is decelerating the ECU shuts down all the fuel to the engine until it is close to idle speed where it re-supplies the fuel to the engine so that it can idle.
So decelerating=helping you save gas!!

I just finished tuning SCIONGT35R's car with the AEM EMS and after activating the deceleration fuel cut off I actually saw the MPG reach a somewhat normal level.
No more 12mpg out of the car. We finally reached 20mpg!!!

20 MPG on a +500hp car makes it drivable again!

I used to have a 95 accord. It had a compact gas gauge, with a 16 gallon tank. Hoping into my 08 tc made me think that i was getting about 3mpg because of the giant gauge, and smaller tank. I added a fujita cai and the cel came on. This REALLY made me think i was getting crap for gas milage. I did a run from Eugene to Klamath Falls (3hr drive), drove around the city, showed my parents what 100mph feels and found out I got 33mpg all things included! I am very happy with the milage these cars get.

Reducing weight is a sure fire way to increase mpg. This is how I justified purchasing my c/f hood.

like mentioned before people, invest on a damn ScanGauge II and ur questions will be answered. It is hard to give a specific speed and such cuz each car is configured differently. Ex. different size wheels, weight, habits, etc.
The statement from Pito could be right, who knows I'm not a mechanic.

All I can say is that whenever I'm driving and start decelerating from 60 mph I see between 110-120 mpg. Meanwhile when coasting I see between 170-210 so, like I said before, get a ScanGauge II.

It's well worth it, it will pay itself. Before I had it I though that the only way to save gas was by driving slow. Well guess what? That is not 100% true, just try it and come back with ur story.
