Maybe relocate the battery to the back and put the catch where the battery was?

You do the same exact thing as said above but it'll save ya roughly 60 bucks. You can pick up the filter at wal-mart for 11 bucks and you can even get a few different colors (mines blue and I think theres black and red ones) I'll post some pics when I can, its not as nice looking as the greddy but its not too bad looking and its just as functional and a lot cheaper.
post pictures! or better, post a DIY!

I'll get pics up soon, i'm having trouble finding 9mm hose all I had to use 9.5 for now so the fits a bit loose over the connections. It's holding up good with some clamps but I wanna make sure I have all the right stuff before I start posting DIY's.

Yea, finding a 9mm hose sucks. A 3/8" hose does work...pretty tight. Just make sure they can handle high temp or the hose will collapse.

I loved your engine bay when I saw it Sunday. Where did you get the CF engine cover? Looks pretty cool. Also, did you paint the catch-can blue after that picture or am I going insane and not remembering correctly?

I see the pic of where you mounted the can. Did you have to do anything custom or fabricate a special mount. Can the mounting be done with the harware included in the Greddy kit?

Thank you very much...but, not really my car...it's my daughters . I just get to tear it up Now, her uncle is waiting for her to decide paint scheme. I'm staying out of that one.

I got the CF engine cover off ebay. Then took it to my brothers auto body shop and he cut the letters. The catch can is aircraft metal from Greddy, I did however metal flake the input nozzels blue. They were red. Turned out ok I think, so you did see some blue :D

Yea, you can do it with just what comes with the kit. You just have to bend it to fit. I used a piece of 12 ga wire to get the angles and bolt holes right first.

I did, however add one more 6 inch piece a few days later. It's just that strap steel stuff..... Throw some primer and paint on the straps. I bent the Greddy piece into an L shape, and I just added a second piece to complete a triangle. Not possible to wobble now

That's right. Jackie wasn't it? I'm new to the group so I'm going to have to try and learn everyone's names. Personally, I liked the silver, but if she has to change it I'd say keep it mostly silver with blue accents along the sides. Stripes, graphics, whatever.

Yea, it's Jackie. She likes the silver too, but thinks something needs to fill in the "billboard sides" as she puts it.

heres some pics of the homemade one I did. Like I said not as much bling as the greddy but its small and easily hidden, cheap- under 20 bucks, and easy to make!!

this actually has a filter in it so it does a good job stopping stuff from getting through, just go to wally world and pick up a mini air compressor filter, some connectors (I think its either 1/4" or 1/2" npt to a 3/8" hose fitting.) And some 9mm hose or if you can't find 9 mil get the 3/8 hose and some good hose clamps to secure the line. I used the stock line for the back half incase I wanna take it out I still have it. Also that way I didn't have to take it off the intake manifold so it eased the installation a tad. I'll get some pics up as soon as I can get some in daylight to show you results, after three days of city driving back and forth to work i've got roughly a half an ounce or so of fluid built up. The filter has turned light brown and still collecting more. Any suggestions comments complaints etc. are welcome.

HA! We have one on the racecar that we made out of piece of water hose and a and old oil bottle. Not near as flashy but it does get the job done. I don't have pics of the oil catch but here is a couple of the car.

when 9mm or 15mm is mentioned, is that referring to the size of the hoses? does anyone who have the greddy can know what the height on the thing is?

it refers to the diameter of the hose, don't know about the greddy I made my own (pics above ^ ).
