Mine didn't come with new nuts either. Anyone know the thread size offhand?
Did anyone have to put on new nuts with their exhaust? My Megan oem didn't come with any hardware. I'm trying to find the thread pitch of the spring bolts. I couldn't find a match in my re-threading kit. TIA
what do you need new hardware for?! your replacing an exhaust. use the stock bolts. and the stock hangers... unless u got the HKS (idk if megan comes with it too) and you need the extra hanger that holds one of the bends up...

The nuts on the stock exhuast are wleded onto the flange. so the new exhuast has to have them welded on or have a baggy with them so you can put them on.

GOD it's done =). the technique I used was lets say a lil out of the ordinary. But none the less. I took the car for a spin...it's quite loud. lol. I expected somewhat lower. It's loud is a very nice tone. Thank you everyone for helping.

What he said. My Megan oem did not come with the nuts welded to the flange. So i'd rather re-use the stock exhaust bolt and spring and just get washers and nuts for the other side instead of getting a whole new bolt & spring set.

I would suggest taking one of the spring bolts and going to lowes and getting a bolt. If its a locking nut the better.

at first it sounds really loud, but give it a week or two and you'll be in love with it.

just jack it up on the body lifts where your supposed to put the factory jack, then put jack stands under the car on both sides.

On the bottom rear portion of the car there's a hook or a loop, put the jack under that loop and jack up. when your all the way up, place the jack stands on the side of the car, there's like an arrow pointing downwards. look under the car where the arrow points down and you should see a thin metal lining with two ridges about an inch apart. Place the jack stand tip between the ridges. Then start working. =).

i didn't trust jack stands. scared the s out of me when i got under there. picked up a set of rhino ramps and they were much better.

oh and if you can't get the nuts off your ratchet handle is too small. that mini ratchet set that grandpa gave you last year won't cut it. I use my 1/2" torque wrench which has a good 16" bar length to break off any nut. pick one up at target. 14mm or 5/8 will do if you don't have metric.

For anyone that will run into the same problem as me- the exhaust spring bolt thread pitch is 10x1.25 mm.
My megan oem is in, sounds good for day 1.
