Default HEADER O2 CENSOR

well i just got a header for my car and i installed it - it ran fine for about the first 6 hrs, after that i started it up and it wouldn't idle correctly and just turn off after 10 seconds. I DONT HAVE AN O2 CENSOR PLUGED IN MY HEADER - is that what it is causing the problem?

do u guys think i can get an other O2 cenor from another car and crimp the wires together to my original cenor plug. do u think it will work????

or what do u suggest to do???

... why is the o2 sensor not plugged in.....?

and why are you asking about getting one from another car? did you ruin your stock one...?

and YES... that's why your car is not working.

you're going to have to remove it off your old one and use it.

soak it in some wd-40 for abit.

You need to take it off the right way. I damaged mines it costed a pretty penny to get a new one.

get an o2 wrench from your local store, and then take it off.

you may however strip it. and i honestly cant believe you drove without your o2 sensor, your ecu must be going crazy.

moral of the story, dont work on a car if you do not know how to, this tC is not exactly a "Experimental" car with all of its technology.

thats true - but u have to learn someway - so i guessed i did the bad way - well im not going to start it intil i get an O2 censor on the header

i tried it w/ the O2 censor wrench thats made for O2 censors but it still wouldnt come off - not even w/ a airgun.

i think im just going to have to buy a new O2 censor

thxs alot guys - i was FREAKING OUT when i heard my car like that!!!

u think i should do anything else????

Can order a new one through Sparks, cheaper than your dealer. Look for "Oxygen sensor, tc, exhaust manifold".

Bro i swear trying to make these come up is next to impossible unless you know the part number.

I tried both sparks and concelli and after about 10min of searching on each i kicked my pc off and drove to the dealer asked the part number and went back home and found it in a sec...whats that you say? the part number?...i forget...

^^What didn't work? Just scroll down to the part & click on "add to cart". Yeah I noticed the part numbers don't show. Haven't ordered OEM parts from Sparks but they've always come through on TRD stuff.

Why'd you drive to the dealer - could have just called 'em for that part number.

OOPS! i didn't notice the parts list! i thought it was just a link to the site...so i immediately searched for oxygen sensor...which brought up nothing...

i live around the corner from the dealer, i could of walked there if i wasn't so lazy...
