Default Header starting to rust?!

Ok so I have had my Megan header on since July or so and I changed my oil the other day and noticed that it is starting to rust. I saw a friend the other day who has the same header and he is having this problem too. I live in RI so could the salt on the roads and temps be causing this? Is there anything out there that I can use to polish it back up and get rid of the rust? I know that WD-40 can remove rust, but I am not sure if that would be good to use on a header because it gets so hot and I know it will not polish it. Anyone else having this problem?

the salt on the roads will cause this. I'm sure if you looked under your car you would see more of it. I would recommend getting your header jet-hotted. www.jet-hot.com

Ive heard bad things about megan, I know a guy with a civic whose megan header is also rusty. Maybe you could take it off dand off all the rust and sand the rest of it lightly too, and then paint it with high heat primer, engine enamel, and high heat clear coat.
