Took me about 6 hours of prying, thinking, prying, crying, thinking, prying. PITA - just keep trying....get a prybar if you dont have one.

good thing u got it out. Next time tap out where u disconnected the two bolts towards the passenger side with a pry bar and a rubber mallet. Or just the pry bar right where it meets the tranny. When putting them back in, be careful not to break the lip on the rubber seal.

passenger side axle removal..

-2 bolts on the axle remove on the bracket connected to the block.. its not necessary to remove the bracket from the block... only the 2 14mm bolts parallel to the axles

- hammer lightly tap on the axle cyclinder connected to the trans this will loosed it just a bit
- tug lightly on the metal axle to pull out closest to the trans and you should be done... takes 5 minutes of work

you can also use a tire iron and wedge it inbetween the trans and the black axle cylinder to pry off the axle or you can use a tire iron and use the L groves on the axle and hammer outwards to the wheel as leverage and should work also

should take 5-10 min for this operation. very simple and easy

you should not do this at all

this is why people pass. side axle seals break and should never be done

the correct way is to fully take the axle out which makes it much easier to mount back onto the motor vs. leaving the axle in place where you need to be more precise and takes muuuch longer and much more work to get it on.
