So I finished wiring my window switch today, and when i spliced the RPM signal wire into the black data wire from the OBD2 plug now I have now tach. Any ideas

 

try taking off the splice from the signal wire

troubleshooting...

 

yeah Im just trying to figure out why its not giving me tach, I can pull the wire and get signal back but as soon as I plug it back into the window switch it stops, what baffles me is I have a friend who spliced his aftermarket tach into the same place and both his tachs get power.

 

weird...y not look for somewhere else to get power?

 

yeah i figured it out, it thinks the window switch is data logging i just spliced into the ecu

 

lol, ur window switch was stealing all the signal.....

electronics can be tricky

 

yeah and annoying lol
