No cutting required!!! I had took the bumper off, left front wheel and wheel well off. The second section is pretty tricky, I had a hard time to put in this section. Just have to take your time and mask up the pipe to prevent scratches.

I was just going to ask....does it make the car feel any more responsive? Is it louder at all?

The ride performance... You will only hear the CAI when you reach 3000-3500 RPM. It has a nice growl for the sound and you could hear the whistle noise when it sucks the air up. The ride is pretty much the same but if you are stopped for ex: at a stop light you could hear the engine a little more. For the power wise you could feel a couple of hp gains. I had previosly installed it as a SRI before but I really like the CAI install better because I didn't feel the gains in hp w/SRI installed IMO. Finally you asked that if I would recommend this... It all depends on how you would mod your car.

I just installed my Injen CAI yesterday and there is definitely a change in attitude. One question though... what kind of whistle noise are you hearing? It seems like whenever I quickly hit the throttle I hear a whistling noise too. I thought it may have been an air leak or vacuun line leak but have searched up and down and retightened everything and still can't find anything. Is this supposed to be normal?

Yes the whistle noise is normal. It is sucking the air up into the throtle body which the flap is opening and closing causing the whistle noise.
