high flow fuel filter???
so i had some problems with my car a little while back with what was think to be bad gas, the dealership had to replace the o2 sensor, and the cel went off, but it still doesnt seem right. im going to replace to plugs this weekend and i was thinking about the fuel filter as well, the car has 27k on it, but i was wondering if anyone knows of an oem hi-flow filter instead of stock, let me know if there is anything out there
Yes there's no discrete fuel filter sitting under the car that you can wrench off, it's part of the fuel pump assembly in the top of the gas tank as cmv138 mentioned ... doubt there is any option except Toyota/Scion oem.
Btw what brand of gas were you using?

thanks for the info, i wsnt aware of the filter only being inside the tank, most cars have a "strainer" in the tank to keep big stuff from going through the pump, then a ext filter in line somewhere, even being that its in the tank, it shouldnt be too hard, all you have to do is remove the rear seat and you can access the pump...correct?
i was running the gas on base i believe when it happened, i usuaslly fill up at shell near my house, but was running all around base one day and had to fill up there, the toyota dealership along with others in the area have been having the same problems with some gas stations trying to "water" down their gas to save money, which in turns cost us more headache in the long run, not sure exactly what caused it, but they fixed the o2 sensor under warrenty so i wasnt too concerned, but i did pull my plugs out to slean them and they just didnt look right at all, so im going to replace them and i figured the filter as well, but not if its that big of a pain in the a$$, however if i do, ill def do a DYI
