How accurate is the horsepower feature on scangaugeII X?
Once I get a few more pieces done under the hood and head back to the dyno I'll film it again and make sure I have MPH, RPM and HP on the gauge for a more informational view of how semi accurate it is/isn't.
I really did not get it for that feature, but it is a good idea. From what I heard the best unit to measure horsepower would be the G Tech Pro, which has a built in accelerometer.
For cheesy inaccurate HP measurments sure, GTech, the Dynolicious app, Scangauge...
For your most accurate power readings... is to run the 1/4 mile, weight your car and get your trap time...

I am guessing but it probably calculates the BHP from the fuel consumption which is basic energy output with some RPM thrown in to compensate for torque levels. If your injectors are bigger than it thinks or you run a rich fuel map then you get more HP than it calculates since it doesn't know from the ECU that you have larger injectors but if you calibrate the fuel used at fill up it should be corrected pretty close.
