Default How good is the TENZO CAI

Hey guys just wondering how good the Tenzo CAI is for the Scion TC. I see that its much cheaper then most intakes. Its around 130 bux. Just curious. Is this a case of you get what you pay for. Doesnt look half bad in the pictures, just curious what opinions people have on it. Thanks

as good as there wheels lol sh*t! lol but no all jokes aside I haven't really heard much about it, but honestly is it worth spending so much on an intake even if its 130? I ended up getting a cheap ebay intake and instead of using the filter it came with I threw on an AEM dryflow, works the same way and I spent much much less then every1 else. intake cost 30 bucks and filter cost 35 so I spent 65 dollars on an intake that have never had a problem with, no CEL no problems nothing. but I have mine SRI instead of CAI but ofcourse I have the extra piping to add it but choose not to.

I just have a customized stock intake. I ripped out that white restrictive filter glued into the top of the airbox and dropped a K&N filter in there, then I ripped off the resonator and threw a cap on there and clamped it down. Im just tired of looking at that crappy stock box, maybe ill go your route. My best friend at advanced said we could make a riced out intake lol. Im bored I need something to do with my TC.

try my method bro, I see no need to spend 200/300/400 dollars on a intake that doesn't do much. so I opted my route, 30 dollar ebay intake and good filter. spent much much less then every1 else and it does the same thing. and I kept mine short ram cause of rain being to high here sumtimes. and I've been running it for 3 yrs now with no problems wats so ever never had a CEL or anything.

i'd say from my personal experience i started off with an ebay intake for $50, i put it on, looked cool but then the things that started bother me was the stupid fitment issues, the rattles that it gave off cuz it never sat right and since i used to like to go to car shows, any other tc's had higher ended intakes and it well it started to show through when i was trying to get some recognition for any work i put into my car, on the other hand if your trying to build some power, intakes dont do much but if you spend the right amount of money you can overall feel it, not saying its like going boosted. but if you are interested in an intake i have a black injen cai for sale i'll do 130 plus shipping if your interested and throw in the aem bypass valve also lmk gl with your decision

hps intake ftw! on ebay look for the seller autogrimmig, the seller has the polished, black, and gold (if u like) intakes. just offer 160 and he'll accept it, hell you could probably go even lower! it's the same as the injen sp series intake! but yeah ebay intakes ftw

i have a tenzo CAI, i stripped the paint and painted it wrinkle black, but the original gunmetal finish was awesome! i am using an injen filter, although the one that came with it looked almost identical (material-wise) to the injen

fitment was good(exept for the upper bracket (which will not fit as a CAI, only if you use the shortram. so i bought a DocIso panel for injen and it worked like a charm!

overall id give it a 9/10, only because the upper bracket did not work, but here i am 15k miles later, no CEL and happy as a puppy in a pickup truck! lol

PEEKTURES!!!

says who? injen? or the rest of the community that buys them for the name "injen" and what exactly makes them good? the piping or the filter? bc what makes them good is there filter not the piping, its all the same tin/metal. I have had ZERO problems running my ebay SRI piping and either AEM or INJEN filter. so basically ur paying 300 bucks for the badge on the piping and for a filter. yes there filters are great but not 300 dollars great. like I said I spent 60/70 bucks and got the same with no problems wats so ever and whenever I'm bored I use to change the filter either from injen to aem or vice versa. and to be honest IMO AEM dry flow filters are better.

ill put my tenzo next to an injen and have someone spot the differences, lol

tenzo totally ripped off injen, so why spend double for the same thing? i know it sucks, and this is hurting injens buisiness, but thats life!

if you could find a used injen, which is not that hard, id go for that
