Default So why cant we make power all motor

hey guys i searched for about and hour and the best i could come up with is our motors are economy motors. i just dont think that answer is good enough. Does Anyone have a great explanation why even Leslie (all motor-drag tc comp) can only put down less than 250. I dont get it what is stopping us from putting down 250 to the wheels like hondas. I understand that of course we can cheaply turbo our cars but is it because we cant crack the code for the ecu. the pistons, no valve lift. What is it thats holding us back from big numbers? Could it also be that we have not had enough experience with this motor to push it past what its capable of or that we dont have companies trying to make all motor parts for us? WHAT IS HOLDING THE TC BACK FROM GETTING BIGGER NUMBERS? it would seem that higher comped pistons, stroked, all bolt ons would put down around the same as comparable 4 bangers but it doesnt as we know. Please someone with knowledge enlighten me. this question bugs me and im sure every scion tuner out there!

If you have seriously deep pockets you can easly break 200whp of course you need supporting mods ie intake, header, exhaust.

Stroker kit with 92mm sleeves
BC cams Stage II N/A
port and polished head
upgraded valves
upgraded valve springs
11:0-1 CR pistons
Upgraded connecting rods
Upgraded head gasket
list can continue to go and on too much things possible to do.

The point is most people do not want to put that kind of money in there car do it complete.

If you wanted all-motor power you should have bought a honda and built a k20/k24 frankenstein motor.

The 2az-fe was never designed to make lots of power, much less all-motor. Low compression, low rpms and no lift = need boost to make power.

because no one has spend the money to buy the dezod standalone and tune there all motor car!

Grow some ***** break out the credit card goto dezod.com! haha

alot of potential there with the right tuning! A motor is a motor! With the right parts it can surley do what you need!

I was feeding off his post for mid 200's. Just a good port and polished head, oversized valves, intake header, exhaust, a good tune will have dang close if not over 200.

both of you above are getting numbers that ppl on here have already gotten with just basic bolt ons... ive been on this site long enough to have seen on average 170-180 after a good CAI/AW or MMW header/and a good exhuast... if you both have pullies.. then add an extra few hp because those pullies have been proven to yes make u go faster but also to give a false reading to the dyno on actualy numbers(+/- 2-4 whp)

and im sorry basic mods with some form of EMS isnt really going NA... unless your cracking the block open and doing any head work or block upgrades.. your just as normal as everyone else.

thats a topic i discussed in another thread WAAAAAY back..

BC "makes cams" but has yet to everrrrrrr put up any proof of their results...and no from 8+ scion forums im on has also provided any form up proof their NA cams work... no dyno, no vid, just a picture of regrinded camshaft that BC puts up and alot of hype.. not saying BC is bad.. because they are far from a joke... but with so much money and r&d spent on developing the cams... why not show evidence to support? for all they care the basic consumer could be a novice who knows nothing better and could fall victim to being gullible and throwing away 700+ dollars for no gains, no proof, and basically a promise that you might se some gains granted w.e ems u are using... the fact that out motors rely mostly on timing for power and not so much the lift portion should scream to the consumer... i need something that controls my timing.... not valve opening...
