One thing I would like to improve on my tC is the sound coming from the engine. I'm not necessarily talking exhaust, but the noise from the engine itself. The stock setup sounds about as manly as an Prius. My previous car was a WRX/STi and I really miss the rumble under the hood at idle (along with a lot of other things ). I'm not really looking to add hp ( and definitely don't want to give up any tq either ) just improve the aural experience. I'm thinking headers would probably do the trick, but I'm looking for opinions. i.e. most exhaust mods seem to improve the sound coming out the back, I want to know about the noise from the engine bay.

sorry bro, my hks exhaust is my attempt in making the tC sound like a G35/wrx
it does rumble like the wrx during idle hehe

 

add an engine damper and you'll hear the engine vibrating the car.

but yeah.. headers makey thingy loudy.

iirc corsport had them for $150 shipped? that's the chepaest i've seen.

or you could completely forget the fact that you dont have a wrx that you're driving right now, and you'd rather just not here the tC at all....so you could deaden it...just a thought lol

roll your windows down! haha! JK!! intake, header, full exhaust. hks makes a nice exhaust with a tone very similar to a wrx.

 

um....why not just cut everything off after the headers.....im sure you'll love the noise at that point...
