Default how much power loss? ill be driving with lower compression

the stock scion tc has 9.6:1 compression ratio. I have 9.0:1 compression ratio pistons. I know that there will be a power loss. But how much? noticable difference? I was going boosted but now i'm planning to get rid of the turbo. I'll be running full exhaust system, cold air intake, and other stuff i can do with N/A. I also increased the bore size for the block to 89mm.

I wanna know how much power will be lost (if any) if i run a NA setup with 9.0:1 compression pistons.

Is 9.6:1 a big difference compared to 9.0:1? thanks.

yes, why are you going to do all this to make your tc slower and get poorer mpg if your not going turbo?

Just getting tired of boost. I'm planning to go NA with bolt on. But my question is, how much power loss am I expecting with 9.0:1 compression running NA. I don't think mpg will be worse than stock

You'll basically lose all the power you'll gain from the intake and exhaust.

you'd be better off selling your engine and replacing it with a junkyard engine so you'd atleast be back stock.

if your so tired of boost, (how does that even happen?) why don't you just turn down the boost? so that way you can not be slower and weaker than stock, but not have as much boost?

Your going to loose at least 10-15 across the entire power band and it will be a significant difference.

Im with carbon on this one. doubt you would notice much. Going from f/i to stock will be sad. Due to that you wouldnt know the difference anyway.

im running with lower compression pistons on stock stuff right now. I noticed that i lost power. Is it common that the engine gets REALLY hot fast?? I mean, i turn on the engine and let it idle for about 2 mins and it gets hot already. the temp meter is in the middle already. All coolant hoses are connected and the fan works. Im just hoping that it gets hot because of the lower compression pistons.

I guess I am the only one who looked at the first post, but I don't think he has the pistons in the motor, and he isn't boosted... was just planning on it. Sort of how I was planning on going JDM.....
