the TRD reflash is still on the ECU. like guys running turbos with the TRD reflash till they can afford to get it tuned properly. i talked to the sales manager at scion over here and every 6 months or so he builds a tc for him to play with and he said that he had the guys in service put CAI, dc header, TRD axle back, and some other lil goodies on it and they did the TRD reflash on it, or better yet tuned what he had on his car and raised the rev limiter on it a lil bit and gave it a lot more power through the TRD reflash he said. so maybe this is true.

its not true.
having a TRD SC relfash but not having a SC will make the car run worse.

and i met a guy at my college with an 05 auto tc who said his dad owned a toyota dealership, he was the first one on the east coast with a tc, and they put a superchip on it and it dyno'ed 215 whp. i struggled so hard not to laugh right at him.

reflashing the ECU add more fuel to compensate for what would be more air...IF you have the TRD SC. If you dont then think about it...your getting the same amount of air but more fuel. so more than likely your A/F ratios are gonna be waaay off, the car will be running pig rich, and youll be wasting unecessary money because your gas mileage will be worse.

well yes i would believe an idiot like that about super chip thats just retarded. and yes i see where u are all coming from. TRD reflash on a non s/c car. maybe he ment they hooked up a piggyback and tuned it idk. anyway i still think this thread is a waste of time. maybe the guy in the gt-s had a seizure and lost idk. i would keep the s/c but thats just my .02 cents.

Default what

if running a flash for a sc and you dont have a sc doesent mean that you are going to run rich, the mass and o2 sensor wont let it run rich, and yes you can get more performance with the flash and no sc due to the fact that it not only changes the fuel maps it changes the timing allowing it to read through broader peramiters and the injector pulse width if you cant understand this then let me know and i will draw u a pic.
