Ive had my Tc for over 5 months an i was wondering why i got bad gas mileage. Ive been driving in third gear. I didnt know about D. Man this sucks

 

lol noob. didn't you ever notice your RPM's on the highway? oh, and there's also something that lights up in the gauge cluster called D3. LOL

lol i have a 1, a 2, a 3, a 4, a 5 and a R i got 2 d's but they are in my name (and i just set myself up for a comment from someone )

 

I did go to driving school and he didnt make any comments about me putting my car in 3

Ok, there need to be a federal law where it's mandatory to have 30 hours of driving experience before getting a license.

 

How much gas do you think ill save in D? Does it feel any differant

No definately not. It just doesnt go into the next gear, which means higher rpms and lower gas milage.

 

It feels the exactly the same except without the sound of higher rpms and you should get considerably better gas milage.

If i was you i would drain out all the tranny fluid, drive the car until it smokes and wont change gears, re-fill it with tranny fluid then take it to your dealership and get a new tranny
